Description

The contract is linked to the development of the transversal line of research "Clinical Trials in precision nutrition and health: GENYAL project and its subprojects, in which activities carried out by one or more IMDEA Food research groups converge and which are developed following appropriate methodological guidelines in the form of R&D&I projects or contracts.

The R&D&I project manager will support the management of the scientific-technical activities of GENYAL and must ensure the correct coordination of the R&D management information of the projects and sub-projects of the research line "Clinical trials in precision nutrition: GENYAL project with the general management criteria of the Institute, in order to guarantee the coherence and consistency of all the information that IMDEA has to provide to third parties.

Functions Technical profile:

The scientific-technical management activities to be developed are specifically linked to the projects and services provided from the cross-cutting line/project GENYAL ("Clinical trials in precision nutrition and health").

In particular, it must guarantee:

- The preparation of technical, administrative and financial documents in the processing and management of aid with the different administrations granting aid: regional administration, state administration (AEI / ISCIII, etc.), private entities and EU administration (including aid for the recruitment of research personnel).

- The preparation, processing, publication and management of calls for the selection and recruitment of research and technical staff, including the corresponding applications for prior authorisation from the competent authorities in each case.

- The management of these grants through the Foundation's dedicated applications (registration, monitoring and carrying out the administrative procedures required by the granting bodies through ERP-Fundanet).

- The promotion and dissemination among the research groups linked to GENYAL of the programmes and calls for R&D grants from the different public authorities (regional/state/international).

- The permanent monitoring and accompaniment of the economic and scientific execution of the projects in order to achieve the scientific and budgetary objectives set and to prepare the economic and scientific justifications of the different R&D&I projects.

- The preparation and uploading of reports, justifications and other documents required in the different electronic platforms for R&D&I project management, such as Quadrivium of the CM, Justieco of the MCIN, Portal Funding & Tender opportunities of the EU and similar.

- Any other directly linked to the management, monitoring and control of R&D&I projects and grants (including grants for the recruitment of research personnel).

Requirements

I. Entry requirements:

Required qualification:

- University degree, Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in the area of Biosciences, Health Sciences or Food Sciences.

II. Assessment of merits:

I. Additional training to be assessed:

- Courses, masters or training in areas directly related to the management of R&D&I projects will be valued.

- Specific training in the management of subsidies and public aid (management of public expenditure) will be valued.

- Others directly related to the functions to be performed in the post.

II. Professional experience to be valued:

- Experience of at least 2 years in a similar position, in the preparation of proposals, management, monitoring and justification of R&D&I projects and grants, especially public grants (including grants to research personnel).

- Experience in the management of R&D&I project management platforms such as Quadrivium of the CM, Justieco of the MCIN, Portal Funding & Tender opportunities of the EU and similar.

- Experience and good use of computer tools for research management and accounting (ERPs- preferably Fundanet).

- Other experience related to the functions of the post.

III. Other merits to be assessed:

- Computer skills at user level. Good knowledge of the Office package (Office package, pivot tables, macro templates, forms and data analysis with Excel, etc.), web pages and scientific databases (Wos/Wok, Scopus,...), bibliographic management software (EndNote, ...) is desirable.

- Verifiable oral and written communication skills in English (minimum B2 of the Common Framework of Reference for Languages).

- Other merits related to the duties of the post.

Selection Criteria

The selection of candidates will be carried out by means of a merit-based competition, guaranteeing the principles of equality, merit, capacity and publicity, as well as objectivity, independence and professional rigour, respecting the confidentiality of the personal data of the participants.

At the end of the period for submission of applications, and once the fulfilment of the requirements listed in the second base for admission to this procedure has been verified, the Selection Committee will proceed to assess the merits included in the curricula vitae and select the candidates who best meet the established requirements, and will then open a second selection phase consisting of a personal interview.

The personal interview will consist of a face-to-face or videoconference interview which will focus solely on the merits put forward by the candidates in the second phase and will be designed to to assess the candidate's suitability for the post and knowledge of English. The interview will last a maximum of 45 minutes and will be conducted in both English and Spanish.

Scale - selection criteria:

The evaluation process will be carried out according to the following criteria:

I. Additional training to be assessed: 0-30*.

II. Professional experience to be assessed: 0-30*.

III. Other merits to be assessed: 0-10*.

IV. Interview: 0-30

Conditions

Type of contract: indefinite (not permanent) contract for scientific-technical activities (art. 23bis Science Act), with a probationary period established by law.

Dedication: full time, 37.5 h/week in split working day, from Monday to Friday.

Gross annual salary: depending on experience and accredited knowledge.

Duration: indeterminate.

Incorporation: immediate, after the corresponding selection process.
