CALL FOR A MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION TECHNICIAN FOR TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER, KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND R&D ACTIVITIES OF THE RESEARCH LINE "CLINICAL TRIALS IN PRECISION NUTRITION AND HEALTH": GENYAL PROJECT (AND ITS SUBPROJECTS) AT THE IMDEA FOOD FOUNDATION.

The contract is specifically linked to the development of the project entitled "Effect of nutritional ingredients on long-term metabolic outcomes in people with type 2 diabetes", which is integrated in the research line "Clinical trials in precision nutrition and health: GENYAL project", which brings together activities carried out by one or more research groups of IMDEA Alimentación and which are developed following appropriate methodological guidelines in the form of R&D&I projects or contracts.
The position responds to the specific needs of the above sub-project and to those arising from the planned increase in activity for the R&D line ("Clinical trials in precision nutrition: GENYAL project") to which the sub-project belongs, clearly differentiated from the general activity of the Institute, due to its singularities: its outward orientation, as a platform for R&D support services for researchers (not only from IMDEA) or companies interested in precision nutrition, and the growing complexity and technical specialisation required by issues related to the valorisation, protection, transfer and, where appropriate, commercialisation, of the results of research or intervention or observational studies for third parties that are developed under the methodology of trials or studies in humans.
Technical profile Fuctions:
You will have to ensure the correct coordination and management of all technical aspects of R&D and knowledge management (including legal) of the subproject referred to above and of the research line in which it is integrated. In particular:
a) The management and coordination of the technology transfer and knowledge management services of the results of the research carried out within the framework of the GENYAL project entitled "Effect of nutritional ingredients on long-term metabolic results in people with type 2 diabetes", and, in particular, protection through industrial property titles (patents) and, where appropriate, commercialisation, including prior support to researchers in terms of technological surveillance, assessment of the results of the research and presentation of projects to competitive calls specialising in the promotion of technology transfer.
b) The management, within the framework of the aforementioned GENYAL project (and other sub-projects related to and integrated in GENYAL's line of research), of activities involving relations with companies, especially those linked to technology transfer, and collaboration with the PIs responsible for the sub-project and GENYAL in relations with companies, administrations and collaborating entities.
c) The coordination and legal and regulatory compliance management of technology transfer activities (especially patents), and the technology transfer (especially patents), technological cooperation with companies and R&D, linked to the transversal line of research.
d) The supervision and specialised legal coordination in bioethical matters of the Research Ethics Committee integrated in the GENYAL platform, which oversees compliance with scientific and biomedical ethics regulations for clinical, observational or interventional trials or studies carried out within the framework of the GENYAL platform, including potential participation in the aforementioned committee by acting as its technical secretariat.
Required degree:
- Required qualification: University degree in Law and Postgraduate Legal training.
Additional training to be assessed:
- Additional legal training and training in science and technology management and other training related to the duties of the post.
Professional experience (to be assessed):
- Minimum required experience of 10 years in high-level management of innovative entities, research centres or other agents of the National R&D&I System.
- Minimum required experience of 10 years in high-level positions in the management and promotion of R&D&I and in knowledge transfer.
- Minimum required experience of 10 years in the management of R&D grants in public and/or private centres.
Other merits (to be assessed)
- Knowledge of regional, national and European Union institutions and policies, preferably through practical experience.
- Knowledge, demonstrable in practice, of the tools of Innovative Public Procurement and the European Union's Resilience and Recovery Mechanism.
- Knowledge of English and other EU languages.
- Knowledge and good command of computerised management tools and in the design of innovative processes.

After the deadline for submission of applications, and once compliance with the requirements listed in the second base have been verified, the Selection Committee will proceed to assess the documented merits included in the curricula vitae and to select the candidatures that best suit the established requirements; then a second selection phase will then be opened, consisting of a personal interview.
The personal interview will consist of conducting a face-to-face or videoconference interview that will deal only with the merits declared by the candidates in the competition phase and will be aimed at assessing the candidate's suitability for the position. The interview will have a maximum duration of 45 minutes.

Type of contract: employment contract for scientific-technical activities (art. 23 bis spanish Science Law) in accordance with current legislation with a probationary period established by law.
Dedication: Full-time (37.5 h/week) in split time, from Monday to Friday.

Duration: indeterminate.
Incorporation: immediate, after the corresponding selection process.
