Description

This call is made under the provisions of the Fourth additional provision of Real Decreto-ley 32/2021, de 28 de diciembre, de medidas urgentes para la reforma laboral, la garantía de la estabilidad en el empleo y la transformación del mercado de trabajo and the Order of January 30, 2023 of the Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Empleo authorizing the IMDEA ALIMENTACIÓN FOUNDATION to cover 8 posts through a public call, charged to the specific replacement rate authorized by the Secretaría de Estado de Función Pública del Ministerio de Hacienda y Función Pública on December 30, 2022.

This rate is complementary to the ordinary replacement rate established in Ley 4/2021, de 23 de diciembre, de Presupuestos Generales de la Comunidad de Madrid para 2022 and the additional stabilization rate derived from Ley 20/2021, de 28 de diciembre, de medidas urgentes para la reducción de la temporalidad en el empleo público.


Job description:

Functions Technical profile:

The functions that must be carried out will be those related to the objectives of the Unit (Research Management Unit/ Monitoring and Financial report and control of R&D actions).

The R&D management support staff includes a wide range of transversal activities, including:

- Support for researchers in terms of surveillance and presentation of proposals to competitive Calls for research projects.

- Coordination of the  relations with the Administrations and collaborating organizations.

- Monitoring of the execution of projects.

- Economic control of the Foundation's budget execution and R&D projects and grants, including R&D grants for research Talent.

- Review of the eligibility of costs charged to R&D projects/grants.

- Management of the technical and economic reports. Planning, preparation and presentation of cost statements.

- Budget management and monitoring and cost statements of the instruments

- Centralized dialogue with management and control bodies of financing entities.

- Assistance to control and verification bodies: preparation of audits, verifications, controls and material interventions.

 - Maintenance of the resources and related applications of the Foundation.

- Management of electronic platforms for justification and presentation of follow-up reports (Quadrivium / PAIDIR / Facilita / Justieco / ISCIII, etc.).

- Optimization of the configuration of supporting, technical and economic reports from Fundanet-HR for Grants.

- Etc.

Requirements

Education

  • Eductaion required

- Required degree: Advanced university degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in the Area of ​​Life and Food Sciences or Health Sciences, Economics/Business Sciences or equivalent.

  • Another education:

- Postgraduate training and complementary training in science and technology management and others related to the functions of the position.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience:

- Minimum experience required of 5 years in high-level positions in R&D management (including personnel grants) (economic and administrative), in public and/or private centers, preferably related to agricultural and food technology

- Knowledge of regional, national and European Union institutions and policies, preferably through practical experience.

- Verifiable knowledge of English (minimum level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference).

- Knowledge and good management of ERPs software (preferably Fundanet) and with a medium-high level of the Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

- Experience R&D management platforms (both for projects and for hiring research staff), such as Quadrivium from the CM, Justieco from the MCIU, Portal Funding & tender opportunities from the EU and similar

  • Capabilities:

- Initiative, proactivity and decision-making capacity.

- Organizational skills, analysis-synthesis, supervision and conflict resolution.

- Interpersonal skills in communication, presentation and teamwork.

Selection Criteria

After the deadline for submission of applications has expired, and once compliance with the requirements listed in the second base has been verified, the Selection Committee shall proceed to evaluate the merits based on the curricula provided, and to the selection of the candidatures that best fit to the established requirements; in a second selection phase, a personal interview will be conducted.

The personal interview will consist of conducting a face-to-face or videoconference interview that will deal only with the merits claimed by the candidates in the competition phase and will be aimed at assessing the candidate's suitability for the position and knowledge of the English language. The interview will have a maximum duration of 45 minutes.

Conditions

Type of contract: permanet full-time employment contract with trial period established by law.

Dedication: full-time, 37.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

Duratio: permanent
