CALL FOR THE HIRING OF A BIOSTATISTICIAN RESEARCHER FOR THE IMDEA FOOD FOUNDATION (PROJECT: "PID2022-138295OB-100- "ON-PRIME")
IMDEA Nutrition Institute (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Food) adheres to the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researcher.
The IMDEA Nutrition Institute is a research institution created by the Madrid Regional Government in coordination with universities, research centers of Madrid, and enterprises. Constituted as a non-profit organization within the framework of the IV Regional Plan for Scientific Research and Technological Innovation (IV PRICIT), it is conceived - structurally and legally - with the aim of bringing research into society.
IMDEA Nutrition Institute is committed to excellence in research and to foster technology transfer to the industrial sector in a truly international environment. More information about the research and scope of the activities of IMDEA Nutrition Institute can be found at the institute webpage
Project funded by MCIN / AEI / 10.13039/501100011033 / FEDER – “Precision Nutrition Strategies for Oncological Patients Based on Their Immuno-Metabolic Classification” – OnPrime (PID2022-138295OB-I00).
IMDEA Food is part of the Network of Madrid Institutes for Advanced Studies, promoted by the Community of Madrid, with the aim of conducting research that is both useful to society and of international scientific excellence. Within this framework, the project PID2022-138295OB-I00, titled “ON-PRIME: Precision Nutrition Strategies for Oncology Patients Based on Their Immuno-Metabolic Classification,” is being developed. For its proper execution, the project requires qualified research personnel.
The biostatistics researcher’s professional activity will consist of carrying out scientific and technical activities within the research project “Precision Nutrition Strategies for Oncological Patients Based on Their Immuno-Metabolic Classification” – OnPrime (PID2022-138295OB-I00).
Main functions to be developed:
- Bioinformatic and biostatistical analysis of data in omics technologies, health status and precision nutrition, including participation in discussions on study design and scientific publications. - Application of algorithms, databases and information systems, web technologies, soft computing, information theory and computation, data mining, image processing, modeling, circuit theory and statistics for the project.
- Perform complex statistical analysis, interpret statistical results, and prepare reports that include integrated summaries for reports, manuscripts, and proposal preparation.
