 This position is funded by the Comunidad de Madrid through the Grant  Ref. Y2020/TCS-6654, acronym "AI4Food-CM"

 

The work activity of the Nutricionist Research will be integrated in the research project: “AI4Food-CM: Inteligencia Artificial para la Prevención de Enfermedades Crónicas a través de una Nutrición Personalizada”      

Main functions to carry out:

Development and implementation of clinical trials of nutritional intervention.

Development of the study protocol, preparation of the intervention, recruitment and selection of the population, data collection, etc.

Evaluation of digital tools for the assessment of nutritional status.

Evaluation and validation of the AI4Food digital platform.

Support in laboratory tasks, reception and processing of samples.

Collaboration in scientific and community-oriented dissemination activities.

Analysis of results

Requirements

Education:

Degree/Graduated in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

A postgraduate / master's degree in the areas of Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional Genomics, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry will be valued positively.

Training in laboratory techniques for the genetic analysis of microbiota, metabolites or molecular biology techniques will be valued positively.

Computer and English language skills.

Professional experience:

Experience in nutritional research studies, protocol development, volunteer recruitment and management, data capture, diet analysis, data computerization, collection and processing of biological samples will be valued.

Experience in laboratory techniques for genetic, microbiota and metabolite analysis, molecular biology techniques will be an asset.

Experience in social media outreach and dissemination of results will be valued.

Experience with digital communication tools will be an asset.

Other merits to evaluate:

Specific training as an anthropometrist would be an asset.

Training in digital tools courses will be valued positively.

Competencies & Skills:

Competencies: results-oriented, highly proactive, task management, problem solving, responsible.

Skills: Organisational skills. Ability to integrate in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work as part of a team with the ability to build personal relationships.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on the profile described in Annex 1 as appropriately outlined in their CV by a Selection Committee composed by scientist staff of IMDEA Food Institute. Ad-hoc experts could be participating in the process. The best-qualified applicants will go to the second selection phase consisting of a personal interview by the Selection Committee.

The personal interview will consist of conducting a face-to-face or videoconference interview that will deal only with the merits claimed by the candidates in the competition phase and will be aimed at assessing the candidate's suitability for the position. The interview will have a maximum duration of 45 minutes.

Conditions

Type of contract: Temporary full-time employment contract with trial period established by law.

Dedication: Full-time (37.5 h / week), split day, from Monday to Friday

Duration: untill 30/06/2022, with the possibility of renewal. 

Annual gross salary: 23.378 euro.

The incorporation of the candidate to the IMDEA Food Institute is expected to be immediately after the selection process.
